Our home delivered meals program depends on hundreds of volunteers throughout our community to deliver meals to our home-bound, elderly clients.  With the help of our volunteer network across the region, we are now able to deliver 450 meals per delivery day.  Volunteers opportunities are available in Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hyde, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell and Washington counties.  Each route takes about an hour to complete. Meals are delivered beginning at 11:00 am during the week.

Are you a business owner or manager and want to ensure your employees are involved in the community? Contact me today to find out how to become one of our growing number of Corporate Volunteer Teams!

By volunteering you can:

  • Improve a home-bound older adults health by providing a nutritious meal
  • Bring comfort to clients by assuring them that someone will check on them
  • Make a clients day by sharing a kind word and a smile
  • Help an older adult remain in their own home longer

Where else can you accomplish so much in one hour?  As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to deliver once a month, once a week, or any other set schedule you have.   Our Corporate volunteers work for local businesses and agencies that allow their employees to deliver during their lunch hour.  This is a great way to give back to the community!
