Comprehensive Transportation Plans

The ARPO works closely with the NCDOT Transportation Planning Division in the long range transportation planning process. This process leads to the development of Comprehensive Transportation Plans. The ARPO provided technical assistance drafting Comprehensive Transportation Plans for each of our ten member counties.

Northeast Regional Locally Coordinated Public Transportation Human Service Transporation Plan

This plan was prepared by the Albemarle Rural Planning Organization, Mid-East Rural Planning Organization and the Peanut Belt
Rural Planning Organization. In 2014,the ARPO and our project partners were awarded a NADO Innovation Award for our work developing the plan.
